East Germanys Renate Stecher (#147) leads the race in the Olympiastadion, Munich, West Germany. Also pictured is Jamaicas Rosie Allwood (#220).
Strecher went on to win the gold and completed a 100m/200m double at the Munich Games. She also won a silver medal as part of the East Germany team in the 4x100m relay
