Alan Wharton walks out to bat for Lancashire at Old Trafford.
He played 392 first-class games for Lancashire between 1946 and 1960, scoring 17921 runs and 25 centuries. He played one test for England against New Zealand in 1949.
He also played rugby league for Salford.
