Cricket - 1954 season - Glamorgan vs. Lancashire
Peter Marner, left, and Ken Grieves walk out to bat for Lancashire.
Marner made his first-class debut for Lancashire in 1952, aged 16 years and five months, making him the youngest person to ever play for the county. He is also the first person to win a limited-overs Man of the Match award, when Lancashire played its first Gillette Cup match against Leicestershire in 1963.
Grieves made 452 first-class appearances for the county between 1949 and 1964, scoring 20802 runs with 26 centuries, and a county record 555 catches. He was Lancashire captain in 1963 and 1964. He also played football as a goalkeeper for Wigan Athletic, Bury, Bolton and Stockport County
