Bishop Auckland captain John Bob Hardisty (Bishop Auckland) is indroduced to Field Marshall Montgomery before the kick off at Wembley. Left is Arthur Drewry (Chairman of the Football Association, Director at Grimsby Town, and President of FIFA from 1956 to 1961).
Hartisty played six games for Darlington and played for Manchester United Reserves after Munich and later coached there. He also played in three Olympics for Great Britain in 1948, 1952, 1956
