Con Martin playing in goal for Aston Villa.
Played on outfield as a centre-half in his early years for Villa and as a goalkeeper in 1951/52 season.
He was dual international and played and captained both Ireland teams - the FAI XI and the IFA XI.
His son Mick Martin played for Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion in the 1970 s
