Eddy Merckx - 1974 Tour De France - Stage 2

Road Cycling - 1974 Tour de France - Stage Two: Plymouth-Plymouth
Belgium's Eddy Merckx, in the white combination jersey, underneath his Molteni team top, on the Plympton bypass.
Merckx would go on to win the combination classification, as well as the overall general classification. It was his fifth, and final, Tour victory, equalling the record of Jacques Anquetil.
It was the first time the Tour had been staged on British soil, to celebrate the UK's entry to the Common Market

Parecchini won a stage during the 1976 Tour and Riotte won a stage in the 1967 Tour, where he wore the yellow jersey for one day.
