Referee Ron Lewis sends off Moseley lock Nigel Horton (#5) for punching in the third minute of the game at Twickenham. Horton was the first player to be sent off in a major match at Twickenham since 1925.
This game was the inaugural final of the first national club knock-out competition staged by the Rugby Football Union
