Romanias gold medal winner Nadia Comaneci congratulates the USSRs silver medalist Nellie Kim on the podium in the Montreal Forum, Quebec, Canada.
Comaneci became the first Olympic gymnast to score a perfect 10, in the uneven bars, and scored six further 10s as she won golds in the all-around, uneven bars, and the balance beam. Kim scored 10s as she won the gold in the vault and floor exercises, and she won a further gold in the team competition
