Loader took over 1000 wickets in a first-class career for Surrey between 1951 and 1963. He played 13 tests for England.
Barber was a leg-spinning all-rounder who made 155 first-class appearances for Lancashire between 1954 and 1962, and as an amateur was captain in 1960 and 1961. He played 28 tests for England. He had played for Cambridge University and would finish his career at Warwickshire.
