Walter Wally Hammond (Gloucestershire and England cricketer) 1929.
Played 85 tests for England over a 20 year period. Considered by many to be Englands greatest ever batsman, his test average of 58.45 is the second highest of any Englishman.
His 10 catches in a match in 1928 still stands as a record as does his 78 catches in the same season.
