1977 Sam Doble Memorial Match
Rugby Union - 1977 Sam Doble Memorial Game - Moseley 19 International Rugby Writers XV 43
Martin Cooper runs with the ball for Moseley, with International XV players, left to right, Gerald Davies, Graham Price, Bill Beaumont and Fran Cotton in pursuit at The Reddings, Moseley.
The game was organised to raise funds for the family of Moseley and England full back Sam Doble, who had died of cancer at the age of 33. A seventeen match unbeaten Moseley side played against an invitation XV that is considered one of the strongest ever to appear in Britain
