Romanias Nadia Comaneci during the uneven bars in the Montreal Forum, Quebec, Canada. During the uneven bars routine she became the first Olympic gymnast to be awarded a perfect 10 as she won the gold medal.
She was awarded the maximum mark a further six times during the Games as she won further golds in the balance beam and individual all-round, as well as silver in the team all-around and bronze in the floor exercises
